A Good night all around..... After coming back to Eugene from Portland around 10 pm last night, this morning is Oregon's only Game's chance to reflect on the night. Overall: Solid night, the first hour was a bit touch and go But the JBL/ Batista bout served the purpose of establishing Batista and now the fued that begins with Chris Jericho. The Kane v. Mysterio saga has promise; and the master of the 619 will not allow Kane to continue the DQ route via steel chair. Bigger question does Lance Cade now have a tough go headed into Cyber Sunday with an angry HBK? On the Smackdown side is there a fued developing with THE MVP and Show? And DID CRYME TYME TAKE THE LIMO, THE DIVAS AND SLAUGHTER ALL THE WAY UP TO SEATTLE FOR RAW? Time will only reveal these answers......

MAINO EXPLAINS WHY HE SMACKED YUNG BERG

Rapper Yung Berg can't seem to stay out of harm's way. He was beat up and robbed last month at Detroit's Plan B nightclub and he recently got slapped by Brooklyn-based rapper Maino in an Atlanta nightclub. Maino explained during a recent radio interview, "Yeah, he was a little disrespectful, so I just tried to clean him up a little bit, and just give him a little togetherness. That's all."

The rapper explained, "(Yung Berg) approached me and said to me 'Yo, I heard you were talking reckless about me.' I said 'What?' He said 'Yeah, I heard you was talking reckless about me.' So, his body language and his mannerisms led me to believe he was being disrespectful to me, so I slapped him. That's all I did to him."
Maino added, "Talking reckless about you? What you talking about? I shouldn't be questioned by nobody. Like, if you got a question for me, ask me in a way where we can talk about it. Don't fan out on me and approach me like it's a problem. I did God's work, I just disciplined him a little."
The situation has since been resolved as members of Yung Berg's camp issued an apology. Maino said, "He kept his jewelry, everything is cool. Things could have been worse for him.... I still like this kid. I think he a good kid. I just think he has the wrong direction, the wrong people around him. You don't walk up to a man like that unless you already have intentions of it going somewhere.... Shout out to his people for apologizing. Apology accepted. You should not address people in that kind of manner. That's all."
Maino's new album, If Tomorrow Comes, is due out in November.

HIP HOP STARS TURN OUT FOR VH1 HIP HOP HONORS

VH1's Hip Hop Honors gets bigger and better every year. This year's honorees include Cypress Hill, De La Soul, Slick Rick, Naughty By Nature, Too Short, and Isaac Hayes. The show, hosted by Tracy Morgan, airs tonight (Monday, October 6th) at 10 p.m. ET on VH1. The show taped on Thursday (October 2nd), at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom. Two of the show's highlights were Mack 10, Jim Jones, Fat Joe, and the Gym Class Heroes paying tribute to Cypress Hill and Mos Def, Estelle, Public Enemy, and Scarface paying tribute to the late Isaac Hayes.

Busta Rhymes' tribute to Slick Rick was also memorable as the rapper wore an eye patch and trunk jewelry in homage to the pioneer. Show deejay Biz Markie also sparked a freestyle session by Mos Def, Busta Rhymes, and others as he played samples of some of Hayes greatest works.
Ghostface Killah, Big Boi, Bun B, Q-Tip, Wyclef Jean, KRS-One, Juelz Santana, Cee-Lo, Kid Rock, Gym Class Heroes, the Roots, EPMD, MC Lyte, and others made appearances.

'HOUSE OF PAYNE' WRITERS FIRED OVER WRITERS GUILD ACTIVITY?

Four writers for the hit Tyler Perry show House Of Payne, who were involved with a Writers Guild of America organizing effort, have been fired. While the production company says the four were fired for cause, the WGA contends that it was their union activity that got them the axe. The WGA West planned to picket Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta when the facility opened this past weekend, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Kellie Griffin, Christopher Moore, Teri Brown-Jackson and Lamont Ferrell were among seven writers who have been seeking to negotiate the first WGA contract with Perry's production company, also called House of Payne, since last April. The company produces the top-rated TBS sitcom as well as the upcoming TBS show Meet The Browns. No contract has been signed.
Perry's attorney, Matt Johnson, said that the four were fired because of poor work performance.
The WGA has filed unfair labor practice charges with the National Labor Relations Board, claiming the firings were unwarranted and that Perry's company bargained in bad faith.

JANET JACKSON ILLNESS FORCES MORE TOUR CANCELLATIONS

Janet Jackson has canceled three more concert tour stops because of her health. According to her publicist, a doctor in Greensboro, North Carolina, advised the 42-year-old singer Saturday (October 4th) not to perform that night because it was "evident" she wasn't fully recovered from the same illness that led her to a Montreal hospital briefly last Monday (September 29th).

In addition to Saturday's show in Greensboro, tonight's (October 6th) concert in Atlanta and Tuesday's (October 7th) show in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, have also been canceled while Jackson recuperates at home.
The singer has promised to reschedule the missed shows and says that fans should hold onto their tickets.
No cause has been given for Jackson's ill health, though some blogs have quoted her brother Randy as saying the "Can't Be Good" star suffers from vertigo. Others wonder if she and longtime boyfriend Jermaine Dupri are expecting.
Stress may well be a factor in Jackson's current maladies. She was taken to the hospital last week during a sound check for the Rock Witchu tour, just days after it was reported that Jackson had parted ways with her label, Island/Def Jam, where her partner Dupri is president.
Jackson reportedly clashed with Island/Def Jam over marketing and promotion support for her CD Discipline, which has not met sales expectations. The dispute led Jackson to scrap the international leg of the Rock Witchu tour earlier this summer.
Back in July, Jackson explained how much she enjoys touring the world: ["I love that. I love being able to see the sea of faces, to have that connection, to feel that love. That's exciting for me. And I get to meet fans, I get to visit the world, get to go to countries that I don't frequent that often. It's real sweet for me."] SOUNDCUE (:17 OC: ... sweet for me.)

OK Ladies and all my DIE HARD New Kids On the Block fans...I had the time of my life this weekend! Saturday NKOTB came to Chicago and performed at the Allstate Arena. Donnie Whalberg remembered me from our phone interview a few months ago (which you could still listen to if you scroll down and click next til you find it on the next couple pages) We made a connection and things got a lil cozy...OBVIOUSLY (and that's all i'm sayin!!!):

Hitler was an avowed atheist. So were Marx, Lenin, Mao, Pol Pot, Stalin, Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il, and a plethora of other nasty people. Some had been raised in a faith, but then left it to become atheists. What an improvement eh? Over 100 million people have been killed by atheists in the last century. More then in all religious wars in all of history combined. Their inquisition overshadows any other. They could have taught the Spanish and English inquisitions a thing or two.

Kneejerk, with the emphasis on jerk, atheists usually trot out Hitler at some point. They do so despite the fact that he was an atheist himself. Why? To attempt to tar Christians. Is it an interest in logic or reason that motivates them? Not at all. It is simple hate. They hate us so much they will lie to discredit us. Also they realize that they cannot defeat our ideas, so they turn to propaganda. If their beliefs were so great then they would have already won. Instead religion is growing.

Jack is a good example. He becomes so angry that he stated directly that he agreed with the North Korean torture and murder of Christians and that I should be inprisoned for my beliefs. So in the same breath that he mentions the Spanish inquistion he advocates torture, murder, and imprisonment of people who he disagrees with. In fact he acts like you have attacked his...religion. If you question his flying spaghetti monster beliefs or any of his myths he wants to eliminate you. He is no different then the fundamentalist believers that he hates. Does he see this? Nope. Talk about blinded by hatred...

So what's the point of all this you ask? When I first came on the board I was immediately attacked for my faith. Of course the usual canards came up right away. So I just turned the tables and fed them back their own logic and applied it to them. If religion is wrong because some religious people have been bad then so is atheism. But to admit that means they have to abandon their myths and use reason to debate ideas. I suppose that is much to scary for them. They know we have refuted their ideas for over 2000 years and they have nothing new to offer. They know that Chrisitians have produced beautiful art, music, literature, science, and other wonderful things. They know that the facts prove that Christians engage in more charity then they do. I can understand why they want to avoid the facts and concentrate on their flying spaghetti monster.

I will close with the words of Pope Benedict:

Zenit-“There are those who, having decided that ‘God is dead,’ declare themselves ‘god,’ taking themselves to be the singular artificers of their destiny, the absolute lord of the world," he continued. "Clearing God away and not awaiting salvation from him, man believes he can do as he pleases and poses himself as the sole measure of himself and his action.

“But when man eliminates God from his horizon, when he declares that God is ‘dead,’ is he truly more happy? Does he truly become free?

“When men proclaim themselves absolute owners of themselves and lords of creation, can they really build a society where freedom, justice and peace reign?”

Benedict XVI answered the question in the negative, explaining that “the daily news amply shows” that with this vision “the will to power, egoistic interests, injustice and exploitation, violence in all its forms” spread. “The end of all this is that man finds himself alone and society more divided and confused."

The Pope said that with this synod the Church wants to show the world “that evil and death do not have the last word, but Christ is the victor in the end. Always!”

The civil suit claims Winfrey "launched what amounted to a defamatory campaign" against the former headmistress of the South African Leadership Academy for Girls.

The former headmistress of Oprah Winfrey's South African school is suing the talk show host for defamation.

Nomvuyo Mzamane, who led the South African Leadership Academy for Girls, filed a lawsuit against Winfrey in Philadelphia on Friday in an attempt to salvage her professional reputation, according to People.com.

The civil suit claims Winfrey "launched what amounted to a defamatory campaign" against Mzamane late last year by implying that Mzamane is "untrustworthy, failed the students of the academy, did not care about the students at the academy, knew of alleged physical and sexual abuse at the academy and participated in a cover-up of the alleged abuse."

The suit cites comments to the media Winfrey allegedly made in October and November last year after a dorm matron at the school was charged with assaulting and abusing six students.

Over-16s at school are very grown up. They look grown up. They behave in a grown up way and no doubt have grown up feelings about many aspects of their lives.

And it's not uncommon for them to feel 'attached' to their teachers; even attracted to them.

All that is given.

So now the teachers (or their representatives anyway) want to be allowed to have sexual relationships with them without risking criminal charges. No more no less.

And why shouldn't they? Because such relationships are an abuse of trust and socially dangerous.

No, this is not a cut-and-dried, ethical no-brainer (to quote His Toniness). but the present rules err on the side of safety, as they must.

Materials
30 6007 7x4mm crystal moonlight rounds(you can substitute another small crystal bead if you prefer)
66 5000 3mm jet rounds
72 5000 5mm jet hematite rounds
SS2006 ss12 foiled light Siam flat back crystal (you may substitute a 2028 ss12 here)
Remembrance silver finish Beadalon memory wire choker
2 packages silver plated Beadalon small cable chain
3 large silver plated Beadalon swivel lobster clasps
38 6mm silver plated jump rings
66 clear Beadalon bead bumpers
44 silver plated crimp tubes
Beadalon 19 strand .024 silver color wire
Jeweler's Glue (available at most craft stores)

Tools
Round nose pliers
2 pairs chain nose pliers
Memory wire shears
Wire cutters
1/16" drill bit and electric or battery operated drill

1. Use wire cutters to snip spider off of ring base.
2. Use a small drill bit to drill a hole in the top of the spider's abdomen.
3. Attach a red flat back crystal of your choice to the spider's abdomen using a jeweler's glue. Allow to dry.
4. Create memory wire choker by cutting off a 17" length using your memory wire shears. (Never, ever, ever use regular wire cutters on memory wire, it's tempered steel and it will become razor sharp.)
5. Use round nose pliers to bend one end of memory wire into a loop. (You can adjust the necklace for size, but you will need to increase all of your materials, you can also opt to add more jump rings to the closures.)
6. Thread 5mm jet hematite crystals around wire and cut off excess wire leaving a 1/8" tail.
7. Bend tail into a loop using your round nose pliers.
8. Add a 7" section of silver color wire on every sixth 5mm bead on choker using a flattened crimp tube to secure wire around memory wire base. You should have 11 wire sections hanging from choker.
9. Snip off excess wire tail with cutters.
10. Place your choker on a flat surface so it is splayed out as you work.
11. Slide a bead bumper to approximately 7/8" from top of a wire.
12. Add a single 3mm bead.
13. Slide the first link in your chain on the wire behind the bead.
14. Add a second 3mm bead.
15. Add another bead bumper.
16. Slide a crimp tube on wire to bottom of bead bumper and smash flat with chain nose pliers.
17. When you attach the chain next, make sure it is 2" from the first attached link.
18. Continue around the ‘web' repeating this process until you reach the final strand and cut off excess chain.
19. Move down the wire about an inch and repeat the established process working around your web carefully adding bumper, bead, chain link, bumper and bead. For the second two sections, the chain should be 3" in length from attached link to attached link.
20. When you reach your final sections on each wire, cut off excess wire from bottom of crimp tube using cutters.
21. Attach a swivel lobster clasp to the right side of your memory wire with a jump ring. Attach a second jump ring to the opposite side. This will help secure the web around your neck.
22. Move down to first chain section and attach a jump ring to the right side, threading it into the first link in your chain and around the beaded section before attaching your clasp. Add two jump rings to the opposite side using the same jump ring through first chain link process. Repeat for the second chain section. (Leave the bottom section free standing to allow the web to fan around your neck.)
23. Attach a 5.5" section of chain between the fourth and the fifth beads to the right of center using a jump ring. Attach the spider to the bottom of the chain using a jump ring.
24. Attach a small crystal on a jump ring to the center of each chain swag using a jump ring.

Beyonce's 2009 tour

 

Beyonce is starting to plan her 2009 tour to promote her upcoming album. Billboard . com has reported the the mega star will play international dates next spring before hitting the U.S in the early summer. Beyonce has said that she has recorded more than 70 songs for the new album and that her third solo album expected to hit stores November 18^th, will reveal all of her. "If I were a Boy and "Single Ladies" the new singles from B's album will hit radio October 14^th , and she will be perfoming November 6^th at the MTV Europe Music Awards.

Mike was lucky and nothing is going to go to waste. I know some abhor hunting, but with the way things are going with prices and all, we asked permission from Diana before he went out this morning. I don't like knowing all the details about what happened, but I do know that we are very fortunate and blessed to have Diana's approval.

I hope everyone's days are as blessed and full as ours. I need to go set up for a thanking ritual, many thanks are due today from us!!

TIME TO PLAY THE GAME I WOULD LIKE TO MEET TRIPLE H CAUSE HE IS THE COOLEST

It would be foolish to think the Democrats had not been bracing for this weekend's events, knowing it was only a matter of time before the mud started flying.  And on Saturday afternoon at rallies in two separate states, Sara Palin cocked back a fist full of muck and let fly. 

Shaking her head with a smirk, Palin told supporters "our opponent is someone who sees America as imperfect enough to pal around with terrorists who targeted their own country." 

The terrorist in question, William Ayers, was a founding member of the radical anti-war group the Weathermen.  After living for several years as a fugitive - being wanted for acts of terrorism - Ayers turned himself in 1980.

It should, however, be duly noted that Ayers is now a Distinguished Professor of Education at the University of Illinois and has worked with Chicago mayor Richard M. Daily to reform Chicago's schools. 

But regardless of Ayers reformation and current work, the temptation to pin him on Senator Obama proved too much for Governor Palin.  It is difficult to imagine the Governor's tactics degrading further, as her weekend remarks smack of "nuclear option", but this could be the beginning of a very ugly month.
